Hi Red Velvet fans,
 
It's less than 3 weeks to the 1st anniversary of Red Velvet's debut and do we have a surprise for you! Through connections with SM Entertainment, For Velvet will be able to give Red Velvet gifts for their 1st anniversary when they arrive in Los Angeles for KCON! We've been frantically planning an anniversary project for them over the past couple of days because of this. We do not have a complete list of gifts ready for the Girls due to the flexible budget but this is important:

We need your help to make this a reality. In order to give Red Velvet great gifts for their 1st year anniversary, we need the Red Velvet fandom to help donate to the project. Our aim is to collect $700 to give each of the Girls a gift box filled with quality products. If we're able to collect MORE, we will adjust accordingly and purchase even better products! We'll be collecting donations up until KCON, but we need a good amount ASAP so we can determine what we can buy.

In order to donate, you must send it to us through PayPal. You can donate to us through our donation system or you can do it manually. Log into your PayPal account and follow these steps:

1. Click Pay or Send Money
2. Click Send money to friends and family
3. Insert our PayPal address: anniversary@forvelvet.com and include your selected amount to donate.

UPDATE: We have reached our initial goal of $700 for this project, but will continue to accept donations up until Friday, July 24th.

If you donate, you'll be included in the donors section of the message book and have first dibs at writing a personalized message to Red Velvet themselves. Once you donate, we will contact you through the e-mail on the PayPal account. If you'd like to be contacted elsewhere, please write it in the notes.

Here is the list of gifts we have currently. To reiterate, this list is not final. We're coming up with more gift ideas and we could use your help. This list will be updated once we decide on new additions and is subject to change:

1. Message Book: We're planning to create a hard-cover book filled with various fan art from the talented Red Velvet artists out there and translated fan messages to the Girls! Space is limited so it's on a first come, first serve basis. In order to contribute to the message book, you must post into our Message Book Thread. Donors and people who contribute to our project have priority in the message book.

 
2. Project Gifts:  Due to physical size constraints to our project, we're only able to give them small gifts that won't be a hassle to take back to South Korea. We're trying to condense our presents in small individualized gift boxes, catered to each Red Velvet member including gifts like:
 
- Brand Name Bracelets: As the cornerstone of our Anniversary project, we will be getting each of the Girls matching bracelets from Marc by Marc Jacobs. Here are the selection:
 

 
- Textured SLot Friend Bracelet
- Diamonds and Daisies Colored Daisy Window Hinge Bracelet
- Small Ribbon Friendship Bracelet
- Enamel Discs Strand Bracelet
- Logo Button Hinge Cuff
Update: Bracelets were exchanged for different styles because of size issues.
 
- Instax Printer: So they can keep more good memories in their lives, we got them an Instax Polaroid Printer to print out whatever photos they want through their cell phones! No need for a special Polaroid camera. They can use the camera they have with them all the time! This comes with a 5-pack of 10 sheets of film.

 
- Plush Toys: To cater to their cuteness, we're giving each member a plush stuffed toy!

- Keychains: In addition to their cute plush toys, we got them keychains from Awkward Animal!

- Macaron sets: These macarons come from Bottega Louie, a high-class Italian restaurant and bakery in the heart of Los Angeles, known for their macarons. Each member will receive a 5-piece set of delicious macarons in various flavors.
 
- Mini Cupcakes: To top off their anniversary, we'll be giving them a custom-made set of mini red velvet cupcakes from Sprinkles, a famous cupcake bakery in Beverly Hills, that says "Happy 1st Year Anniversary (of Debut)" in Korean.
If you have any suggestions on gifts, please post here along with a link of specific items. Any mention of generic things like "give them a bracelet" will be ignored. We need SPECIFIC things to purchase.

Depends on SM if they will attend the fan engagements. KCON will not be allow artists to accept gifts during the event.

Kid is right. If you use paypal it will convert the money when you send it.  and I don't think it's too late judging from this

yes.. .hope everything went well and the girls were able to get their gifts.    Everything went by so fast!  We were also suppose to hold up banners during their performance but I was busy recording.  And I think maybe others were too.  Felt little sad that they didn't see a sea of "happy 1st Anniversary" Hopefully they get at least our messages
